The golf baskets or targets are on the way and we should be able to start installation very soon. 11 Innova Discatcher Pro targets will be placed. There are 9 holes in the course and 2 practice baskets planned.

2008 Fundraising E-mail
Monday, 02 June 2008
On March 13th, I was proud to second the motion that called for Carlisle Borough Council to adopt a land use agreement for the installation and use of a disc golf course at Sheaffer Park. Council voted unanimously to adopt the agreement, thus setting into motion Carlisle's first Disc Golf Park. The Carlisle Area Disc Golf Association has been working tirelessly for over a year to get to that point and I am please to report that they are more than 50% of the way to their goal: Installation of 9 baskets and 2 pratice holes in Shaffer Park.

But now, we need your help. Today marks the official kick-off the CADGA 2008 Fund Drive. Area merchants and business owners are being solicited around the clock for sponsorship of baskets. While our friends have been very generous with their contributions, CADGA still needs the help of individuals to "close the gap".

If you believe in disc golf and support CADGA's mission to expand the sport in Carlisle and the surrounding communities, take a moment to contribute $25, $50 or $100 by clicking on the yellow button on the left. Every little bit helps and no amount is too small. In addtion to basket sponsors, your donation will also go towards the cost of signage, benches, tee boxes and trash cans.

Again, thank you for your contribution. Together we can make Disc Golf grow in the Greater Carlisle community!
